The drive-thru is located on the back of the SmartMED building. Simply drive-up underneath the awning and we'll come greet you at your car door.
We look forward to caring for you!
As you pull in, you’ll be greeted by your SmartMED patient concierge. First, we will take your driver’s license and insurance/self-pay information to begin the registration process. Once we have scanned you in, we’ll have you fill out two quick forms. Once you are registered as a SmartMED patient, you won’t need to complete any paperwork until next year.
Our medical team will come to your car door. We’ll verify the reason for your visit and review your medical history. Next, the medical provider will conduct a thorough physical exam. If lab testing is needed, we’ll administer the tests and immediately begin processing the specimens inside of our laboratory. If a procedure is required, we'll have you park and bring you into the exam room.
Many test results are available in as little as 15 minutes. Molecular diagnostic testing is conducted using the Cepheid GeneXpert system (PCR) which returns results within 40 minutes. For tests such as Covid, RSV, and Influenza, this provides greater than 99% sensitivity and specificity. It is the same instrumentation currently being used by most hospitals.
The medical provider will receive the test results immediately upon completion and call you directly to go over your results and treatment plan.
If a medication is necessary, we will electronically send your prescriptions to your pharmacy of choice. When needed, we can also administer some common prescription medications on site. And for your convenience, we carry over-the-counter medications for purchase.
Please reach us at stacy.lathrop@smartmeddrivethru.com if you cannot find an answer to your question!
We evaluate and treat patients over the age of one year.
We are currently In-Network with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, Medicaid (Amerigroup and Caresource).
Please check with your insurance carrier, directly, to understand your specific benefits as each plan has different coverage.
Although most medical services can be performed while in the car, there are times that you will need to come into the exam room. We have a fully equipped exam room, steps from your parking spot. We'll simply ask you to pull into a parking spot and we will walk you inside.
At this time, we are currently not providing vaccinations.
We do not take appointments. Simply pull up under the awning of SmartMED at a time that's convenient for you. Most often, wait times to be seen are less than 5 minutes. During the flu season, wait times may be a little longer.
Yes, absolutely! We pride ourselves on offering services at lower costs so that individuals without insurance can afford medical care. You can review our fees listed on the "insurance and self pay" page of the website.
The fee for the medical visit ($95) is due at time of service. Any additional laboratory or procedure fees are billed thereafter. Pricing for all procedures and labs are transparently located on the website.
